Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-08-16

LaserTek (Singapore) Pte Ltd respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

It applies to lasertek.com.sg only. It does not cover other websites you may reach through links from this one, including those of our parent company and group offices.

01Scope of this policy

This policy covers personal data collected through this website. It does not cover data you give us by other means — a phone call, an email, a trade show, or a purchase order — although we handle that data to the same standard.

We handle personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

02Collection, processing and use of personal data

Browsing this site does not require you to identify yourself. You can read every product page, specification and datasheet without giving us any personal data.

When you contact us — by email, by telephone, or through an enquiry form on this site — we collect the details you choose to give us, which typically include your name, company, email address, telephone number, and the technical details of your application.

We use that information for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and, where it leads to business, to quote, supply and support equipment. We do not use it for unrelated marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked a technical question.

Our web server records standard technical information with each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and secure, and is not used to identify individuals.

03Data protection

Access to enquiry data is limited to the staff who need it to respond to you and to support your equipment. Those staff are bound by confidentiality obligations.

This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We maintain appropriate technical and organisational safeguards against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure, though no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

We keep enquiry and customer data for as long as needed to support the equipment and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and delete it when that period ends.

04Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise disclose your personal data to any other person, company, or organisation for their own purposes.

We may share your data within the LaserTek group — including our parent company in Taiwan and our regional offices — where that is necessary to answer your enquiry, supply equipment, or provide service and spare parts.

We may also disclose data where we are required to do so by law, by a court, or by a competent authority, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights.

05Cookies

This site sets one cookie. When you choose a language, we store that choice so the site opens in the same language next time. It contains no personal data and is not used for tracking.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. If that changes, this policy will be updated before those cookies are set.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but your language choice will not be remembered.

06External links

This site links to other websites, including our parent company and group offices. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data. We recommend reading the policy of any site you visit.

07Your rights

You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or withdraw your consent to our use of it. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer answer your enquiry or support your equipment, and we will tell you if that is the case.

08Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the date it was last revised. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
